Tom Welling is making his way back to our TV screens. As it was first reported on Deadline, Welling is producing and starring in a new action series for CBS.

The project is called Section 13 and centers on a CIA black ops officer-turned-private contractor who, after a personal tragedy, joins a covert organization devoted to carrying out the most difficult and dangerous high-stakes assignments. The character will be played by Welling. He will produce this with his company Tom Welling Productions and will serve as executive producer. The series is written by Carla Kettner (FOX’s Bones, CBS’s Zoo) and it will have 13 episodes.

The project is still in developemnt. If it gets a pickup it will be the second series for Tom Welling Productions after Hellcats on CW in 2010. Discuss the news in our forum HERE.
